Hello, I have been grooming for 23 years. and have been a Nationally Certified Master Groomer for 10 yrs. I have 2 kids, 3 dogs a cat and 1 husband (so far). I am a self taught groomer however I do take educational seminars and I participate in AKC dog shows where I have learned how to show groom many breeds. I am continually learning and perfecting my style, I truelly love to groom. Please leave me your comments good or bad as I love other groomers opinions. Happy Grooming!

No I have not been in a contest since then, that was 2003. I have been taking my daughter to every dog show we can get to as she is a AKC Jr. Handler. As a matter of fact she is a grooming assistant for a handler here in the US. And I have been specialing my Aus. Cattle Dog. All I have time for now are Photo contests, but I like them alot.

Thanks for the welcome Lisa. I really am enjoying Globalpetgrooming it is so interesting to see the grooming from other countries I really enjoy the terriers from England and Ireland ,the hand stripping I have seen on some of the dogs is truely beautiful (and intimidating to compete against).

Hi Tracey, you are a very plesant surprise! I am sorry it took me so long to find your message I guess I am not very obsevant! Thank you so much for your thought on my dog photos, this contest can be addictive but I really enjoy seeing the dogs that get entered. Mustard looked 100% happier and healthier after his shave down. How can people do let an animal walk around in such horrible shape? I am still having a hard time figuring out this site but it is so unique in that it educational and you can participate as much as you like. It tickles me to no end to be in correspondance with a groomer from Belfast I feel privileged

You would be interested to know that he was a rescue from a breeder in Ft. Worth Texas. He was 10 mos old when I got him and his black jacket was as red as my hair from sitting in a crate in the Texas sun. He was covered in ticks and had never been on grass. It took me ten months to house break him which I did by keeping him tethered to me all the time. He stays in my shop lounging all day and has favorite customers that he will show off for. He is 9 now and has had 2 kinds of cancer but he is going strong!
