About me
Doing what I love and loving what I do!
I am a proud groomer, I am doing what I love and absolutely love what I do. I am always eager to learn and enjoy continuing my grooming education. I am open minded and welcome constructive criticism (only way to learn and improve).I began working with animals at a very young age, at the age of ten I began working on horse farms in exchange for riding lessons. Throughout my teenage years I worked on horse farms, at a kennel, and even a pet store. After graduating from high school I started working for a local grooming shop as a brusher/bather and shortly thereafter I then apprenticed as a groomer. Two years later an entry level opportunity became available for me in corporate America. I decided to give it a try. I worked in the insurance industry for a number of years. As life unfolded for me I ended up moving to Ireland where I lived for a few years. Upon returning home to the States I found myself at a crossroad. It was at this time that I decided to return to my passion, working with animals. Although I had been in the corporate world I still never lost my love for grooming and consistently attended annual grooming expos and seminars. Once my mind was made up that I was going to following my heart, I moved from Maryland up to New Hampshire to obtain my certification in pet grooming. In December of 2007 I began to work for Lisa here at GroomTown Pet Boutique & Spa. In September of 2008 I competed in my first, and definitely not last, grooming competition at the NEPGP (New England Pet Grooming Professionals, which I'm also a member of) Show and Expo with Willy, one of GroomTown's Bichon Frise.
