Heidi Anderton has been grooming in the UK for over 20 years and has worked in many grooming salons. Heidi opened her own grooming salon in 1995 with the help of the Prince’s Youth Business Trust and backing from her then veterinary surgeon, Christopher Godfrey MABvet Med, MRCVS(now retired).
Heidi Anderton says “As this is not yet a licensed or regulated industry I felt I wanted to prove my competence so I could give the best service to my clients. I am very passionate about the service my customers and their pets receive and am dedicated to improving this service at every opportunity. Even though the exams I pursued have taken a lot of time, dedication and expenses, the knowledge I have gained has been invaluable for all that I serve and I am keen to pass on this knowledge.”
Competing against the country’s finest has also been and still is a great challenge for Heidi which she thoroughly enjoys and where she has also learnt about the finer points of gaining that WOW factor finish, which she can now pass on to her clients’ pets, trainee groomers and now her protégés.
Heidi is very keen to promote training for groomers and to pass on the skills which she has acquired over the years including not only the aesthetics, but also the good service and handling techniques required to make sure my clients’ pets have an enjoyable experience whilst in her care.
Heidi’s Motto is “If you enjoy the job you do-you will never do a days work in your life” Another part of Heidi’s life which she enjoys very much is being a parent. Heidi is mother to Christine 14, Perry 11 and Callum 9.
